Echo Yuan is a product and industrial designer based in Brooklyn, New York. She is interested in taking something we already know and challenging our preconceived notions of the subject. Through observing, learning, and thinking, this process refreshes our  ways of perceiving the surroundings. While her work focuses heavily on tangible products, she also enjoys exploring and working with different mediums, and she is always excited to play with new tools.

03 Drinking vessel

Brass











This drinking vessel is inspired by the subtlety of Japanese tea ceremony. Hammered and shaped in brass, the texture and the sound of the chosen material both take part of the drinking experience. The add of the sprout makes the drinking vessel apart from the traditional shape of a bowl, providing an easier channel from the liquid to the user.
