Time is mostly communicated through digital numbers on screens to us these days.
As important as the invention of digital clocks are, our mundane yet busy lives revolve around these numbers.

Off the Clock is an investigation of rethinking our relationship with time through lighting. This representation is the outcome of exploring abstract ways of time-telling for those who wants to turn off their digital devices while unwinding, allowing the light to immerse while it also acts as a vague indicator of time.

Ideations with time-telling

After exploring different mediums through ideation phase, I decided to use lighting as the medium to represent time. Not only it is closely connected with my project from the past, lighting itself also creates an immersive experience that allows us to sense the passing of time within the space.
